So this is a fascinating little mystery. The Southwark and Vauxhall Waterworks Company is the nearest, and our guess is that this was a stillborn project of the Victorian era that never got off the ground. Only the first fifty-one pages are filled; the rest of the book is blank. Covering 1879-1883. Including records of account deposits, stationery purchases, construction and more. Bookplate of 'Companies Books kept in stock by Richard Flint and Co' to front pastedowns. CONDITION In a morocco binding. Externally, sound, though with some rubbing and wear to the extremities. Front joint is starting. Hinges have been reinforced with cloth tape. Internally, binding strained in places. Pages are bright and clean.
