CONDITION Rebound in a quarter mottled calf binding with marbled boards. Externally, lightly rubbed, with some minor wear to the extremities. Front hinge is starting. Internally, firmly bound and extremely bright, considering the age of the work. Light scattered foxing, which is slightly heavier to the title page. I bought this for the copy's associations with a family I'm interested in, thanks to the suggestions about provenance in the seller's description. The description and photos told me all I needed to know about the book - clearly the right family, though I have my own view on the individual who owned it - but that is part of the fund of an old book. It arrived promptly - a couple of days' delay caused by UPS - safely packaged and a good price, I think.
