Description

Yu☆Gi☆Oh! 5D’s is set in the near future and continues the legacy of the Duel Monsters card game, acting as a sequel to Yu☆Gi☆Oh! GX . The series introduces a darker, more futuristic tone while expanding the game’s world with thrilling new mechanics. In this era, Neo Domino City stands as the most advanced metropolis in the world, ruled by its enigmatic Director, Rex Godwin . Just outside the city lies Satellite —formerly the original Domino City—now reduced to a slum used for waste disposal. The residents of Satellite, called “Satellites,” live in poverty and are strictly prohibited from dueling. The story follows Yūsei Fudō , a talented and determined young duelist from Satellite. Using scraps, Yūsei builds his own D-Wheel , a motorcycle used in the high-speed duels known as Riding Duels , with one goal in mind: to confront his former friend and now rival, Jack Atlas , the self-proclaimed "King of Riding Duels" who betrayed him and stole his precious card, Stardust Dragon . During their intense duel, both duelists summon their signature monsters—Stardust Dragon and Red Demons Dragon (Red Dragon Archfiend). Their clash summons the mythical Crimson Dragon , and a strange glowing mark appears on Yūsei’s arm—marking him as one of the legendary Signers . From that moment on, Yūsei and his companions are drawn into a dangerous conflict involving dark powers, ancient prophecies, and enemies known as the Dark Signers , who seek to plunge the world into shadow. What begins as a quest for redemption and revenge becomes a battle for the fate of the world itself.
