Today I received a one hundred and twenty year old, twelve volume reader set, ideal for my purposes; the interiors of the books surpassed expectation. The shipping was a reasonable price for a 20 lb shipment, the customer service was expeditious & business-like, communication was easy like Sunday morning, & my set got here safe & sound, packed up tightly; snug as a bug in a rug! I'd certainly recommend that my fellow acquisitory bibliophiles do as I've done & get some books from Phelp's as well!

The book was shipped the day after our order processed. It was extremely well packed and was exactly as described. When ordering used books (especially older books such as this one) the buyer always accepts risks that there will be defects unseen by the sellers. In this case there was a very nice note with the book telling us to contact them if we were unhappy with the purchase so they could work with us to resolve any problem. We are very happy with Phelps Old Books on this purchase.

I LOVE this set of books! Mainly because I need them for research purposes; but with that said, they are in excellent shape especially for an old set of books from the early 1800s. They arrived very quickly and were VERY WELL packaged which I appreciate greatly! They were individually wrapped and then placed in a thick cardboard box. There was no chance for them to arrive damaged. I could not be more pleased! Recommend this seller highly! A++++
