Ten volume complete set. Published by Tamagawa University Press. Japanese language, but with English printed on the titles and slipcases? I am unable to tell the date, but I'd say circa 1990 based on the style and illustrations. Each volume has many black and white illustrations among text and plates throughout each book, and a large section of color images at the front of each volume, or I guess it's the back of the volume since Japanese reads back to front. Books are unread and free of any signs of wear or use on the inside. Bindings have only the slightest bit of wear on the spines just from being shelved. Slipcases very good, but do have some wear around the corners and edges, volume 1 has a few pieces of tape holding one of the folds on the slipcase together on top edge. Quite handsome books with embossed titles that go across both covers and through spine. We have had this set around for a few years now hoping to find more information, but we have not been able to find another set, except one in Japan which was for sale for over $3,000! Something like 460,000 in Yen!

The order was shipped promptly, securely wrapped, the content was preserved, free from underlining and markings. Although they were stamped from library, the Seller has an eye for rare findings. These will propel my researchs well beyond what is covered in physical classes. A bit pricey, but worth the investment. As Sir William Osler states: “It is hard for me to speak of the value of libraries in terms which would not seem exaggerated… I have received incalculable benefits.”

Lovely volume, Oxford University Press for the publisher. Shows in the quality. Arrived safely and well wrapped. Sadly purchased as a gift so will not enter my library but it was a close call such was the quality. If I was keeping would clean the surface of the vellum which is in great condition and have replacement boards/linings . Thank you so much. Great ebayer and tracking
