Includes the long, original fold-out map of "Oregon Territory" at the frontispiece. Still bound in the publisher's full calf, with dark title-label and gilt-bands along the spine. Light wear and scuffing to the panels, very light wear a the tips and along the spine ends. Internally, heavy foxing at the pastedowns, scattered light foxing through the text, former owner bookplate ("Henry Bull", possibly the British Royal Navy officer {1799-1848}) at the front pastedown. Also includes its full-page engraving ("Basaltic Formations on the Columbia River") at pg. 209. Minor re-backing to the "Oregon Territory" map, otherwise solidly VG. 12mo, "Containing a Description of the Geography, Geology, Climate, and Productions; and the Number, Manners, and Customs of the Natives" (from the title page).
