Polymer Alloys III Please note: this item is printed on demand and will take extra time before it can be dispatched to you (up to 20 working days). Blends, Blocks, Grafts, and Interpenetrating Networks Author(s): Daniel Klempner Format: Paperback Publisher: Springer-Verlag New York Inc., United States Imprint: Springer-Verlag New York Inc. ISBN-13: 9781468443608, 978-1468443608 Synopsis On this, the dawning of a new age in high technology, man is seeking answers to increasingly complex problems. We are routinely launching reusable vehicles into space, designing and building computers with seemingly limitless powers, and developing sophisticated communications systems using laser technology, fiber optics, holography, etc., all of which require new and advanced materials. Polymer alloys continue to provide new solutions to the materials problems, and remain an area of ever increasing research. Polymer alloys are mu1ticomponent macromolecular systems. The components may be all on the same chain (as in block co polymers), on side chains (as in graft copolymers), or in different molecules (as in po1yb1ends and interpenetrating polymer networks). The variety of morphologies possible and the synergistic effects on ultimate properties continue to stimulate research on new polymer alloys. More and more studies on synthesis of new alloys, the kinetics and mecha nisms of their formation, and their characterization, are taking place, as well as studies on their processing and applications. This book presents the proceedings of the Symposium on Polymer Alloys, sponsored by the American Chemical Society's Division of OrganiC Coatings and Plastics Chemistry held at the 182nd meeting of the American Chemical Society in New York, in August, 1981. The most recent efforts of scientists and engineers from allover the world in this increasingly important field are presented in the following pages.

A smooth and professional transaction throughout. The item was exactly as described, clearly listed, and fairly priced. Communication from the seller was prompt, polite, and helpful, with dispatch confirmed quickly. The parcel was securely packaged and arrived in excellent condition, ahead of the expected delivery date. Care was taken at every stage of the process. I would be happy to buy from this seller again—many thanks for a reliable and well-handled sale.

Fantastic experience with this seller. I had an issue with the clay in my kit being dried out, which is something they couldn't have known about before me opening the box. I sent them a message and they replied quickly and kindly with a resolution, replacing my kit for me. Overall the kit was fantastic value and arrived brand new, in perfect condition bar the clay. Very trustworthy and helpful.

I'm a repeat customer of Books etc. I've always found them completely reliable. On this occasion, though, my order went astray. The response was to send me a replacement via courier. I'd say that's the test of an excellent seller - if there's a problem, get it sorted quickly. As ever, price, condition, packaging, and so on, were all A1. Would definitely recommend.
