Pocket Optical Dictionary and Encyclopedia, 3rd ed., 1909 - leather Good+ or better Condition for this vintage leather-bound book. Cover looks very good except for spine ends...the top shows signs of repair, and the bottom shows wear (not repaired). Otherwise, cover just shows mellow aging. Hinges/binding are tight/strong. Owner name inside front. Very mild ivory age-tanning visible on some pages, but paper is not brittle. Interior is clean...no tears, folds, stains, marks, or foxing found. Strawberry Acres, G Richmond, 1911, A L Burt - 1st edition (assumed) Good Condition for this vintage 1st edition (assumed). Cover shows general aging/fading and spine crinkle, plus clear signs of repair to spine ends, plus antique-style metal corners which will extend the book's life. Hinges/binding are tight/strong, due to hinge repair visible front and back. No owner name inside. Very light ivory cream age-tanning inside boards and visible on some pages...not unattractive. Interior is clean...no tears, folds, stains, marks, or foxing. No DJ. The book is now strong and usable without special care needed. Collectible.

This is my very first time making an EBay order. What a great first experience. My book was wrapped with exceptional care to ensure it was well-protected. Very thoughtful. Very thorough. And “neatly” done. These things matter when it comes to shipping “vintage” or “rare” books. When all the outer layers of wrapping including cardboard edge-wrappings, were removed I was left with a delightful book in a nice plastic dust jacket. The book was in the advertised condition. I ordered this book and originally the seller canceled my order because it was not in good condition. I told him I wanted it anyway. It arrived today, it was in better condition than I expected. The binding is a little off but I didn’t expect perfection. Seller AA++ very conscientious, honest.
