Oxford Cambridge NEB NT New English Bible Navy Leather Art Gilt 130H These are exceedingly rare, but over years and diligent searching I’ve acquired several of these and decided to part with them from my personal collection. This is a navy 130H NEB with the New Testament only. It features perhaps the most pleasant reading format available for the Bible, single column with a rather perfect character line count, with the verse numbers outside the text. The gilding is in great shape without any obvious scrapes, but some very minor scratches. The art-gilt is a deep blue under gold. The binding imitation leather or "rexine," but it is much more flexible than most of the others I’ve handled. I found no writing in the text, though the back of a publisher page has an inscription. Many pages still stick. A stunningly beautiful edition! The main issues I found were that there is a crease caused by manufacturing on some pages, of which I included a picture. And the binding at the back has some creases in it, mostly from not being bound as tightly as others are. It’s a common occurrence in older editions. I always list any writing, stains, tears, or imperfection of any kind. And I always list the condition conservatively, so you should expect the item to be in better condition than listed. Unlike the vast majority of sellers out there, I refuse to hide imperfections through cleverly taken pictures or obscure descriptions. I try to include as many pictures as necessary to highlight the imperfections rather than the beauty of the items, which is part of why I have an elevated Seller Status and perfect feedback in which many consistently report back “just as described” or “better than described.” If I miss something by accident, please contact me so I can make it right.
