International Press John C Winston Large Print KJV King James Version New Testament Psalms NT Leather 192 This is really lovely New Testament with Psalms only (no Old Testament) published by Oxford in a leather cover with art-gilt page edges. The leather is flexible, but with some “bubbling” in the fold due to age. It’s just quite old. My assumption is that it is genuine leather, but it’s nearly 100 years old. There’s some abrasion mostly at the corners and edges, and some mild chipping at the top of the spine. What stands out with this volume is the large typeface. I gave a picture with a dime to help illustrate this. It is easily a large print Bible. I found no writing at all. I noticed one small stain/age spot on the front couple of pages, but it didn’t bleed enough to affect the text. The page edge gilding is what is a real shocker: it’s in remarkably beautiful condition. I almost kept this in my extensive collection, in fact. I found no loose or exposed signatures. The ribbon is in bad shape, but considering it’s likely 100+ years old, it’s a miracle it’s still attached. I always list any writing, stains, tears, or imperfection of any kind. And I always list the condition conservatively, so you should expect the item to be in better condition than listed. Unlike the vast majority of sellers out there, I refuse to hide imperfections through cleverly taken pictures or obscure descriptions. I try to include as many pictures as necessary to highlight the imperfections rather than the beauty of the items, which is part of why I have an elevated Seller Status and perfect feedback in which many consistently report back “just as described” or “better than described.” If I miss something by accident, please contact me so I can make it right.
