Description
Innovations of Rubber Chemistry and Technology for Sustainability, Hardcover by Wan, Chaoying (EDT); Guo, Baochun (EDT), ISBN 1837672571, ISBN-13 9781837672578, Like New Used, Free shipping in the US Rubbers are ubiquitous materials that play irreplaceable roles in modern society, from tires, seals, hoses, vibration/noise control, biomedical devices, and stretchable electronics to soft robotics. The traditional rubber manufacturing and vulcanization process is energy-intensive, and the end-of-life rubber products are hard to reuse and recycle due to the permanently crosslinked chemical structures and the variety of processing additives involved. Innovation of sustainable rubber chemistry and technology is urgently needed. This book provides critical reviews of the latest developments in rubber technology, including energy-efficient devulcanization techniques, the dynamic crosslinking chemistry of rubbers, and an understanding of the trade-off between network dynamics and the properties of rubber. Further chapters explore the functionalization and hybridization of fillers and how blends, TPVs, and multiple networks influence the sustainability of rubber. Th concludes with an examination of new developments and real-world applications of rubber in the circular economy.

The book I bought was reasonably priced and when it arrived it was in the 'Like New' condition specified in the listing. However, when I saw that the seller had not shipped the book after more than 15 days had passed since my order I felt I must write to say that I had actually placed an order with the seller and inquire when it planned to send the book. The brusque reply was that a tracking number was available, but no number HAD been created until I pointed out that I had placed the order.

Item as described. Poly mailer, no padding. Description clearly states delivery window of several weeks. Yet I chose this seller because item is new. Purchased/paid April 16, shipped April 28, arrived Maryland to SC May 5.This after contacting seller on day 10 to ask why it had not shipped yet. Slow return communication requesting invoice number/transaction date. Just be aware. IMHO eBay has sellers with faster, more efficient delivery service.

Great book, great price, and great condition. The Seller was a great communicator when I asked twice about the order. I appreciate a volume seller since I ordered two on the same day, back to back, but it seems like a complicated web of different shipping carriers before reaching USPS. I’m thankful it only took 1 day from when USPS finally got the item!! Purchased 7/12, shipped 7/22, USPS received 7/30, and I received 7/31.
