While the bindings are matched, Vol. I was published in 1886 and Vol. II was published in 1883. Books are bound in full leather. It appears that these books were rebound at some point, the new bindings are themselves well-worn. Hinges are cracked, but inner text block on both books is clean and tight. I will call the books Fair to Good, and they are complete!! All of the fabulous plates are present!! Books measure 8 1/2 X 11 1/4, each volume is over 1000 pages in length.
