STOCK PHOTO - NOT ACTUAL PHOTOS OF THE BOOK - DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED THE EXACT EDITION IN PHOTOS AS IT MIGHT NOT BE THE SAME COVER Developing Web Components: UI from jQuery to Polymer [Paperback] Overson, Jarrod and Strimpel, Jason STOCK PHOTO - NOT ACTUAL PHOTO OF THE BOOK - DO NOT BUY IF YOU NEED THE EXACT EDITION IN PHOTO AS IT MIGHT NOT BE THE SAME COVER IMPORTANT NOTES - PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING: Image might not be accurate: It is fairly likely that the image might be of a different book cover as often publishers reuse the same barcode on multiple covers. Sometimes the AI also takes photos that look like real photos not stock images, but these are not of the book you will receive. This is particularly true of older books, more recently published books are more likely to be the same cover. Item specifics might not be accurate: The description sometimes contains inaccuracies about book edition (such as saying it is a first edition when it might not be), year of publication, etc. This is a secondhand book, check the condition: Please check condition description for which type. Very good means minimal wear and tear. Good means it could be a well read copy with creases, etc. Acceptable might include water damage, writing throughout, multiple big stains etc. Please only buy a condition you would be happy with, for instance if you want a book that might be giftable only very good condition would be ok for this. Please note the book is unlikely to be signed even if the photos or description indicate it is. Do not buy this book on that basis. Product Overview Although web components are still on the bleeding edge—barely supported in modern browsers—the technology is also moving extremely fast. This practical guide gets you up to speed on the concepts underlying W3C’s emerging standard and shows you how to build custom, reusable HTML5 Web Components.Regardless of your experience with libraries such as jQuery and Polymer, this book teaches JavaScript developers the DOM manipulations these libraries perform. You’ll learn how to build a basic widget with vanilla JavaScript and then convert it into a web component that’s semantic, declarative, encapsulated, consumable, and maintainable. With custom components, the Web can finally fulfill its potential as a natively extensible application platform. This book gets you in at the right time.Understand core concepts (such as normal flow and positioning, and Z-index) for properly positioning, dragging, and resizing elementsExplore UI concepts and patterns typically abstracted away by Dojo, jQuery UI, Kendo UI, and other librariesDive into the W3C standard and convert your working widget example into a fully functioning web componentLearn how to encapsulate, package, and deploy your web components with Google’s Polymer framework Read more Details Publisher : O'Reilly Media; 1st edition (27 Feb. 2015) Language : English Paperback : 252 pages ISBN-10 : 1491949023 ISBN-13 : 23 Dimensions : 17.8 x 1.35 x 23.3 cm Customer reviews: 3.9 3.9 out of 5 stars 12 ratings

Bought these on a whim and didn't realise the delivery date was when I was away. I contacted the seller and they said it'd arrive Monday. Today is Sunday and they've turned up already. These are pre loved books, not badly damaged ones. 500 characters isn't enough to express the quality to price ratio. Quite a few big authors too (Dan Brown, Jeffrey Archer, Wilbur Smith). Be careful opening the box as even though it is packaged well, there's nothing protecting the books. Will buy again.

quality for all items as described, no major issues with products and all are in good condition, very fast delivery, i can’t find cheaper prices elsewhere & the 3 for 2 deal are great. the only issue is that the deal only applies to one set of 3 books in the basket, so i had to put in 4 seperate orders to get the free book each time (perhaps an issue on my end). the only other issue is one item (out of four) has not been delivered yet and the tracking is unavailable.
