Busch, Jr.] Photo album in red leather with title in gilt. Contains 83 - 5 by 5-inch photographs on 25 leaves of fine stiff stock. Photos have evenly aged, Two of the photos show the Pink Elephant Restaurant of Boca Grande, Florida, a renowned restaurant and gathering spot with a rich history. Established in 1947 it quickly became a popular venue for both locals and visitors. By 1950, it was a bustling establishment, especially favored by charter fishing guides and their clients. Several photos show construction. It is likely that these are photos of the early construction of Busch Gardens, Tampa . The construction of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay began in 1959, with the park opening to the public in March 1959 as a part of the Anheuser-Busch brewery complex. Initially called Tampa's Bird Gardens, it was a combination of a botanical garden and a bird sanctuary. Two photos show mushroom like structures with gnomes which became part of the Leprechaun Village. Additional photos show the Regal Beer distribution center. Regal Beer was a notable regional beer brand in Florida, particularly in the Miami area, established in 1934. In 1958, Anheuser-Busch acquired the Regal Brewery, continuing to produce Regal Beer for a few years before eventually discontinuing the brand.
