full set of this landmark edition of the encyclopedia Britannica.. in overall remarkable condition for a delicate set that is over 110 years old.. many volumes appear to have never been opened .. this set does NOT include the bookcase in which it is housed.. we are keeping it for another set which we are wishing to retain. This set is bound in soft suede, which is particularly susceptible to damage.. there are a few of the spines which you can see from the images that have suffered some damage.. These set in this condition are becoming increasingly hard to find.. and it is in our opinion a cornerstone of a classical library, This was printed at the end ot the age of Enlightenment with leading contributors from all walks of life.
